The USB cord included powers the swing motion and music, while 1 C battery powers the vibration unit (AC adaptor and batteries not included). The WhisperQuiet motor makes swinging extra peaceful. Use the included head support for newborns until they outgrow it, then simply remove. The swing and rocker are lightweight and compact with wheels and a handle for portability.
